Ash Island - 12.5km - Fun for the whole family exploring a hidden gem, of the Hunter region. Forming part of the 'Kooragang Wetlands' this loop takes in a number of points of interest including the 'Schoolmasters House' and 'WW2 Radar Station'. Be sure to keep an eye out for the wide variety of wildlife throughout the park.
Central Maitland Mixed Surface Loop - 21km - Using a mix of quite back streets, cyclepath, and gravel this ride stays close to town but you feel miles away. Departing from Maitland's Levee precinct you briefly follow the river, before linking together a series of backstreets and farm lanes. Finishing the ride by skirting around Rathluba Lagoon and returning via East Maitland.
Finchley Lookout - 51km - Leaving Wollombi with a steady climb, you are presented with champagne gravel throughout the Yengo National Park. Worth stopping and checking out is Devil’s Rock (Burragurra), considered one of the most sacred engraving and ceremonial sites in south-eastern Australia. The return to Wollombi is a beautiful decent with sweeping corners, lined with native bushland.
Riverwood Downs Loop - 57km - Starting from the 'Tin Shed Brewery' in Dungog, you will experience the glorious gravel roads, and numerous river crossings of the Monkerai Valley. All with a backdrop of the World Heritage Barrington Tops, a few climbs to let you know your still alive and several exhilarating descents before arriving back in Dungog, for a well earn't refreshment.
The Branch - 60km - Starting from the riverside town of Karuah, You will experience rolling hills through open farmland. A great loop to fill in your morning, or extend the ride further to either Bullahdelah or Stroud for a great all day ride with plenty of Lunch options.
